What’s the most common ritual of every morning? Any guesses? Getting dressed for work. In the US men work around 8.3 hours per day. It’s more than one-third of the day. The very first thing your colleagues and customers notice about you is your overall appearance. Getting rightly dressed builds your confidence and overall persona. It completely establishes your “First Impression”.

The corporate dressing doesn’t mean you have to flaunt designer clothes. It’s all about dressing in line with the established culture. Dressing professionally increases your chance to get promoted by 55%.

So, here are 5 styling suggestions for your office attire. It would help you look different from the crowd. That’s what you want, Right!

Dress Code

One’s grooming, personality, and clothing choices play a critical role in work success. Don’t wear casual outfits at your work. Wear light-colored formal shirts at your office. You must have three basic shirts in your wardrobe. White, Light Blue, and Light pink color shirts are must-be in your closet. If you want to add some more flair, use only a pinstripe shirt and polka dot shirt. Avoid using a dark color shirt and a double-colored shirt.

Only use formal pants and trousers. You must have black, charcoal black, and blue pants in your collection. Avoid wearing denim and chinos to your workstation. Remember, fit is the key. Don’t wear baggy and loosely fitted clothes. It ruins your whole look.

Avoid any other.

Hair Do & Skin Care

A bad hairdo and dull skin will make your best dressing look below par. You must have sleek hair cut from the sides and back and volume on top. Don’t go for rough and funky hairstyles. Go for more classic looks. It will complement your outfit and working environment.

You must be clean shaved to look neat. If you want to have a beard, you must keep it trimmed all the time to look sober. Make a combination that best suits your face cut. Trim your hairs on nose, ear, and neck.

Exclusive Shoewear

You are supposed to dress from head to toe. In corporate culture and offices, two colors are mostly used for shoes. These colors are black and brown. Your shoes must be the same as your belt color. Your socks should either be of your shoe color or pant color. Keep them well polished. People notice your shoes. Polished and exclusive shoes just complete your entire office attire.
